Countless times we have walked the path from the top to the foot of the hill, where our vineyards end, has strengthened my respect for tradition and the awareness that I must continue it. Committed to nature and with respect for tradition, we are making the most precious wines from selected local vineyards of the Styrian winegrowing region, which reputation extends beyond the borders of Slovenia.
Tradition
The family winemaking beginnings reach as far back as 1815, when the Benedictines of Admont planted the first vine. Sometime later, when our grandfather Ivan Doppler bought the estate in 1938, the first story about the Doppler family’s winemaking began to come to life. This has been perfected over the centuries and to this day has developed into one of the most beautiful viticultural stories in Slovenia.
Past
Today, we look back to the past, to the beginning of our story, with pride. We are slowly but steadily handing the heritage that we have nurtured for decades over to the new generation. It's like climbing our beautiful hills over the years and looking towards the top. The path is still steep, but we persevere.
Future
Looking ahead, just where is the peak of the Doppler story? Ah, where? The path one has only just begun. In the future, we will mix the knowledge and love of wine with the energy of the young generation. For sure, our journey to the top will not end soon, it will just be different. What sort? Join us.
